WNY will be marching in the homecoming parade followed by a reception at the Hintz C Center directly after the parade. The party is free and includes food, drink, and creamery ice cream. You must be registered for the party and guests are welcome. You do not have to march in the parade but we hope you do! If you plan to attend, please send your name, year of graduation, and any guests names to firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration deadline is 10-8.
Homecoming festivities are October 5 and 6. The WNY Chapter will again be marching in the parade on October 5th and we would love to have you join us! You need to be able to be at the IM Building by East Halls no later than 5:00pm on October 5th. The parade starts at 6:00pm and we are usually off and walking by 6:30pm. We expect to have at least 10 alumni and 20 students marching with us this year. Of course Karl Henry will follow behind us in his Corvette! After the parade there is a complimentary party at the Hintz Alumni Center on campus with lot’s of food and adult beverages. If you want to join us for the parade or have any questions please send an mail to email@example.com. The Penn State Homecoming Parade is the largest one in the country and this year the organizers are planning on the parade being bigger than ever to show our PSU pride in light of what we have all endured.
The Penn state Alumni Association of WNY joined alumni chapters from across the country in marching in the 2011 Homecoming Parade through University Park and State College. We had a local WNY PSU student and two of his dorm friends carry our WNY banner and lead a group of 7 alumni and friends (plus a classic 1995 Corvette with a “PSU 72″ New York license plate!)
This was our second year in the parade and hope that next year we can count on even more participation from our WNY membership. After the parade, WNY was represented by a dozen alumni and friends at the post parade party at the Hintz Family Alumni Center. Thank you to all who participated!
